Based in Haarlem, Netherlands, and founded in 2017, BOTS provides an opportunity to invest in various bots, a program that buys and sells based on trading algorithms with a specific strategy. In September 2021, BOTS raised EUR 13 million in series A funding led by Airbridge Equity Partners. The company plans to use the funding to give more people access to automated trading strategies. As of 2022, the company is led by its CEO, Michiel Stokman, and is having an employee base of 50 employees and is having three offices in Europe, two being in the Netherlands and one in Hungary. The company offers more than 300 automated training bots which help its users to trade automatically on pre-set algorithms. It offers a platform that helps its users to choose the bots which could let them trade using automated algorithms for their desired return. The company also offers the Bots creator a platform that allows them to list their bots on the company’s platform and let its users use it. Bot on the platform uses 0.2 percent of the bot’s current value per transaction and a portion of this goes to the bot creator. Transaction charges charged by the exchange are excluded from these charges. The company generates its revenue through a commission-based model which is 1.5 percent of the amount that is being transferred to the user’s bank account from his trading account and the company also charges 0.2 percent from users for depositing money into the trading account.
