Based in Quebec, Canada, ChrysaLabs inc. was founded in 2017 by co-founders Benjamin De Leener, Jacques Michiels, Gabriel Mangeat, and Samuel Fournier. The company created a handheld probe that can measure soil nutrients and soil quality in real time, supplying farmers and agronomists with all required knowledge in seconds and with the same exact precision as a laboratory. ChrysaLabs raised its first funding in January 2019, followed by another funding in February 2021. ChrysaLabs optical technology tests soil properties in 360 degrees, with a large touch surface, at any depth, and without planning, allowing farmers to measure usable nutrients directly in the soil and respond rapidly.
