About

Based in Oregon, US, and founded in 2017 by Ross Lipson and Zach Lipson, Courier Plus Inc., d.b.a. Dutchie, operates as an online ordering platform that allows users to order cannabis for delivery or pickup from local dispensaries. In March 2021, the company raised USD 200 million in a Series C funding led by Tiger Global Management and co-led by new investors Dragoneer and DFJ Growth and existing investors Casa Verde Capital, Gron Ventures, Howard Schultz, and Thrive Capital. The series D funding values Courier Plus Inc. at USD 3.75 billion post-money and has raised a total of USD 725.65 million in funding. Dutchie acquired LeafLogix and Greenbits in 2021 for an undisclosed amount. Ross Lipson is the CEO of Courier Plus Inc. Dutchie’s software platform connects consumers to dispensaries or local cannabis retailers and offers easy access to cannabis products. The company’s online tool provides a safe marketplace and powers top dispensaries across 30 markets and 301 cities in the United States and Canada. It equips dispensaries with the latest technologies to meet the market demand for online ordering, pick-up of products, digital payments, and deliveries. Dutchie’s software offers a response time of less than one minute for confirming orders, and it automatically updates the retailer's online menu as well. As of March 2021, the value of Dutchie is approximately USD 1.5 billion. The company plans to use its proceeds from the Series C funding to accelerate product development, expand into new markets, double down on research and development, and hire new talents to join its team.
