Founded in 2016 by CEO Robert Falck, Linnéa Kornehed, and Filip Lilja, and based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Einride AB, offers fully connected, electric heavy trucks driven by humans and its driverless Pods for freight applications. The company’s customers include Coca-Cola, Lidl, and Electrolux and its partners range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. In June 2024, the firm raised an amount in venture funding from new investor MLC Ventures. The company’s product is a fully electrical autonomous transport vehicle to be operated on roads through remote monitoring and operational capability. The next-gen pod is designed for applications ranging from AET 1 to 4. Enride also offers a freight mobility platform, transformational plans, and operational expertise that enable zero emissions while shipping. Additionally, the company mobility platform is a cloud-native transport execution system that offers planning, scheduling, and routing capabilities as well as an app, that equips drivers with live vehicle insights and updates to routes or schedules. The Enride electric fleet consists of haulage designed for high-volume shipments, Distribution designed for a broad range of shipping needs, and City designed for urban deliveries. The company plans to make AET 3 and 4 available to reserve and start shipping to customers in 2022-2023. Einride AB plans on utilizing the Series B funding to scale up deployments with Einride’s major customer base in Europe and the U.S as well as setting headquarters in Texas and additional offices in Silicon Valley and New York.
