Based in Beit Yanai, Israel, and founded in 2012, HomeBiogas Ltd develops anaerobic biogas systems, enabling households, businesses and underserved communities to convert their own organic and biological waste into self-made clean and affordable energy, which can be used for cooking. The HomeBiogas 2 system is a small digester suitable for households as it turns their waste into energy, while the HomeBiogas 7.0 helps farmers and restaurants convert animal manure and organic waste into biogas and liquid fertilizer. The company also offers an adapted, stainless steal, countertop biogas stove, as well as develops the Bio-Toilet accessory for managing human waste. Co-founded by Oshik Efrati, Yair Teller and Erez Lanzer, HomeBiogas raised venture funding from Closed Loop Partners and ENgi in July 2018. The company plans to launch the HomeBiogas Commercial system onto the market towards 2023, which would convert waste into hot water. HomeBiogas has sold 9,000 systems in 107 countries so far.
