In October 2024, LuxWall, Inc. raised USD 51 million in series B funding co-led by new investors Climate Investment and Barclays Private Bank, with participation from returning investors Baruch Future Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Prelude Ventures, 2150, and Khosla Ventures. Other new investors Carbon Equity and Nature Conservancy Endowment also participated in the round. LuxWall, Inc. manufactures tempered vacuum insulating glass designed to prevent thermal pass-through thereby reducing the energy demand of building systems for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. It helps commercial building owners to meet stringent retrofit and new construction energy efficiency standards. The company solves the carbon problem for the construction industry, through the design, development, validation, and certification of a fully tempered VIG product. The company plans to use the funding to help LuxWall, Inc. scale up its production to its new Michigan factory, construct a second facility in Detroit, and expand research and development efforts.
