Based in Stuttgart, Germany, and founded in 2020 by Andi Weib, Florian Feigenbutz, and Frederik Pfisterer, Solarize Energy Solutions GmbH, a.k.a. Solarize operates as a developer of cloud-based SaaS (software as a service) solution of microgrid operating system that measurably organizes the energy transition. In October 2022, Point Nine Capital led EUR 4.3 million in seed funding for Solarize Energy Solutions GmbH, with participation from Picus Capital. The company provides a software platform that allows utility companies, microgrid operators, and owners of electricity production units to sell electricity on-site. The platform enables electricity management, scalable distribution, automated billing, and monitoring of power generation and consumption, and integrates into the client’s existing systems. Solarize Energy Solutions GmbH plans to use its proceeds from October 2022 funding for the Germany-wide expansion of the meter-to-cash SaaS platform and for entering the international market.
