About

Based in Hong Kong and founded in 2012, Tyme Limited (Tyme Global) is a digital banking group that operates as a fintech company and offers a cloud-based banking model that can be deployed globally. The company obtained a full retail bank license in South Africa and launched TymeKiosk customer on-boarding solution in Indonesia and New Zealand in 2017. African Rainbow Capital became a key shareholder and joined Tyme’s management in 2018. TymeBank South Africa has reached 2.8 million customers, and received its first tranche of the series B investment from Apis Partners and JG Digital Equity Ventures in February 2021, to launch its digital banking product in the Philippines. The company also has operations in Singapore, Vietnam, and South Africa, with over 200 employees. Tyme Limited’s digital banking services such as its transactional bank account and savings product are offered by the company to the underbanked and underserviced market for money transfers and airtime purchases, and to address gaps in liquidity, income management, future planning, and emergency financing in different countries. The company’s platform is integrated with other fintech companies such as AWS, Mambu, and the ASEAN Financial Innovation Network (AFIN) APIX platform to be able to provide the necessary financial products and services that its customers need. Tyme Limited’s revenue is generated by the onboarding of its customers for a bank account or a savings account and the transactions made per active individual and business customers. The company plans to launch unsecured lending and insurance proposition to customers, as well as to use its current funds for the expansion and growth of TymeBank in South Africa.
