Founded in 1995, Liontrust Investment Partners (Liontrust) is a London-based independent hedge fund manager which is partly owned by its management team. It is part of the bigger Liontrust Asset Management and has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1999. It manages funds with articulated investment processes. In March 2009, the firm took over the investment management contract of the ILEX Credit Fund. The investment and operations team from ILEX Asset Management joined Liontrust as part of the deal. In August 2011, it acquired Occam Asset Management. The acquisition adds Asia and Global Emerging Markets funds to Liontrust’s existing UK and European range and two fund management teams. The Occam Emerging Markets and Asia fund management, sales, marketing, and operations teams have left Occam and joined the Liontrust group.
