Olympiad Research

Established in July 2019 by Thong Nguyen, Olympiad Research is a Connecticut-based systematic quantitative hedge fund manager focusing on hypothesis-driven research and process-based investing. Chief information officer and portfolio manager Thong Nguyen leads a team with 7 out of 10 members having most recently worked together since 2016 running a similar set of investment strategies. The team is experienced and diverse with 4 members having obtained PhDs and both senior portfolio managers having over 20 years of industry experience. The firm believes in teamwork and a culture of innovation to support continuous improvement. This framework is implemented through a communal research infrastructure and a collaborative environment that allows for cross-pollination amongst investment strategies based on different asset classes and styles.
