RBC Capital Partners (RBCP) is the private equity investment arm of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). The firm seeks to invest in North American companies with a history of stable cash flow that operates in the manufacturing, business services, consumer products, healthcare, and information technology sectors. RBCP mainly invests mezzanine capital and also manages private equity fund investments on behalf of the Financial Sponsors Group or RBC Capital Markets. RBC Ventures, the venture subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada, makes investments in companies that better the lives of Canadians. The firm focuses on fintech, AI, data analytics, commerce and payments, information security, enterprise IT, marketing and customer experience sectors. While an earlier iteration of RBC Ventures in 2012 became known as Relay Ventures, RBC Ventures relaunched in 2018 with a new team and focus and is a separate entity from Relay Ventures.
