Babcock International Group Pensions is a private sector pension fund for the employees of Babcock International Group, which is a UK-based multinational corporation that specializes in engineering support services and critical systems to defense and civil markets. The Group's principal-defined benefit schemes in the UK are Devonport Royal Dockyard Pension Scheme, Babcock International Group Pension Scheme, and Rosyth Royal Dockyard Pension Scheme. Babcock International Group also participates in the multi-employer Railways Pension Scheme, Magnox Electric Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme, and various smaller pension schemes and local government schemes. Additionally, it runs the Babcock Naval Services Pension Scheme. In July 2010, the pension fund gave a mandate to Northern Trust to provide global custody, transition management, investment accounting, and performance measurement services.
