A round-up of last week’s global people moves at LPs and GPs

LPs

  • Netherlands-based Pensioenfonds Rail & Openbaar Vervoer has appointed Ronald van Dijk as Executive Director of Asset Management. He was previously at APG Asset Management, where he served as a Managing Director, and deputy Chief Investment Officer. Before this, he was Head of Quantitative Investment Strategies at ING Investment Management.

  • Swiss public pension fund, Pensionskasse des Bundes PUBLICA has hired Patrick Bonadei as the new Head of Pensions, effective from June 1, 2024. He will be assuming the role from Doris Bianchi. Bonadei is currently an occupational pensions expert at Pittet Associates Ltd.

  • Pensions provider Scottish Widows has hired Eva Cairns as Head of Responsible Investment. She previously spent 13 years at Abrdn, where she was most recently Head of Sustainability Insights and Climate Strategy.

GPs

  • Private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners has hired Raymond H. Hill as an Operating Partner within the firm’s healthcare team. Hill was most recently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CorEvitas, LLC. Before this, he was President of Inventiv Clinical.

  • German fund manager DWS Group has appointed Vlado Spasov to lead its newly created Capital Solutions business unit. As Head of Capital Solutions, he will be a part of the alternative credit business and offer loans in the special situations lending space. Spasov was previously Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Trimontium Capital. Before this, he was a Managing Director in the Hedge Fund Solutions Group at Blackstone.

  • UK-based Evenlode Investment has appointed Rob Harris as CEO, taking over the role from Hugh Yarrow. He previously was CEO and Co-Founder of Majedie Asset Management, as well as being an independent Non-Executive Director at Evenlode for the past year.

  • Hedge fund manager GoldenTree Asset Management has hired John Edenbach as Managing Director, based in New York, where he will work to expand its Wealth Management Business. Before this, he was a Managing Director, Private Wealth Advisor Consultant at Nuveen.

  • Switzerland-based firm Lombard Odier Investment Managers has appointed Valentin Petrescou and Didier Anthamatten to launch a Global Macro Absolute Return strategy for institutional and private clients. They both join the firm from Credit Suisse, where Petrescou was Managing Director, Head of Unconstrained and Global Fixed Income Strategies, and Anthamatten was Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager (Director). Before Credit Suisse, Petrescou was Co-Head of Global Macro STIR Trading at UBS, whilst Anthamatten was Multi-Asset Senior Portfolio Manager (Director) at Unigestion.

  • Private equity firm One Rock Capital Partners has announced the addition of Sudeep Shetty as an Operating Partner based in London. Most recently, he served as Chief Information & Transformation Officer at Britvic Soft Drinks. Before this, he was Head of Projects & Programmes at Jack Wills.

  • UK-based Royal London Asset Management has announced that Will Nicoll is to take over as Head of Fixed Income at the end of the year, following Jonathan Platt’s retirement after 40 years at the company. Nicoll is currently head of Private Assets and was previously Director, Fixed Income at M&G Investment Management.

  • Schroders Capital has announced the appointment of Jason Kezelman as Head of US PDCA Sales. He joins from TPG Angelo Gordon where he was Managing Director and Strategy Specialist in the Client Partnership Group. Schroders has also appointed Loren Sageser as Senior Product Strategist. Before this, he was a Managing Director and product specialist at Nuveen, where he led a team focused on alternative credit.

  • Switzerland-based Unigestion has announced five promotions within its European private equity team. In Zurich, Kim Pochon has been promoted to Principal, Christine Zhu promoted to Senior Vice President, as well as Marco Perfetto and Manual Bock as Vice Presidents. In Geneva, Borja Fernandes Tamayo has been promoted to Vice President.
